Mandred Mueller
Executive Vice President Strategic Sales & Business Development,

Dr. Manfred Mueller, born 1970, joined SCM Microsystems in August 2000 to manage M&A activities and oversee the Investor and Public Relations function in Europe. Since July 2002, he has served as Director of Strategic Marketing, continuing in his original functions and adding responsibility for overseeing the Company's IP protection and managing worldwide cross-divisional strategic marketing initiatives. In 2005, Manfred Mueller was designated Vice President Strategic Business Development, and in 2006 President Marketing. That was followed by his appointment as Vice President Sales in 2007. He is a member of SCM's Executive Management Team.
Prior to joining SCM, Manfred Mueller spent two years with BetaResearch GmbH, the digital TV technology development division of the Kirch Group, managing a broad range of strategic investment, product development and M&A activities for the company's New Technologies, Business Development department. He also managed application development for the German d-box® pay-TV platform, managed various development projects for digital TV decryption modules and established the company's first product management department.
Manfred Mueller holds masters and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from Regensburg University in Germany. In July 2005, he earned his MBA from the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. In his spare time, he likes to mountain bike, ski and play golf and plays guitar in a rock band. He lives in Landshut, Germany.
